What’s a mini?

Perfectly sized for tiny attention spans.

A mini session is a short, focused shoot for your immediate family at one of my hand-picked golden-hour spots, at the preselected dates and times I have available. It’s just enough time to capture genuine, joyful images without anyone getting restless — especially the little ones. These are captured on weekdays only and are limited in quantity each spring and fall.

Mini session FAQ.

How long is a mini session?
About 20 minutes — just enough to capture great photos without anyone getting tired or restless, which is ideal with young kids.
What’s included?
The 20-minute session, hand-editing, and a private online gallery of 40+ high-resolution images with a mix of gently-guided and natural, candid moments. There are no hidden fees or required purchases.
How much does a mini cost?
A mini session is $400 + tax, and that covers everything listed above. If you’d like more time or have a larger group, take a look at the Lifestyle Session.
Where do the sessions take place?
At a handful of outdoor spots around Richmond and the Fort Bend area, hand-picked for their light and clean, natural backgrounds. When you book, I’ll share the current list so you can choose your favorite.
What should we wear?
Go for coordinated, not matching. Soft, neutral tones photograph beautifully. Patterns and texture are welcome, but skip anything too busy, logo-heavy, or in ultra-bright colors. I’ll send a full wardrobe guide once you book.
How long until we get our photos?
Your finished gallery arrives within about two weeks, often sooner. I’ll never rush an edit, but I know how exciting it is to see them.
Can I bring extended family, cousins, or our dog?
Minis are designed for nuclear families of up to five ($25 per additional kiddo) because of the short time window. For extended family, multiple families, or pets, a Lifestyle or Extended Family Session is the better fit.
What if it rains?
If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll simply reschedule — no stress and no extra charge. I keep an eye on the forecast and we’ll make the call together with plenty of notice.
How do I book?
Send a quick note through the contact form with your preferred dates. I’ll confirm availability and location options, and once you reserve, you’ll get a confirmation with everything you need to prepare.
